Tigbauan Church

Tigbauan Church is a religious and heritage destination in Tigbauan, Iloilo, Philippines. Tigbauan’s San Juan de Sahagun parish church introduces a distinctive architectural stop along Iloilo’s southern coastal route. Its carved frontage and interior decoration invite visitors to examine details that are easy to miss in a quick drive-by. The church remains central to town life, so a visit combines built heritage with the atmosphere of an active parish. Travelers can use the stop to explore the civic surroundings and compare the church’s character with other religious sites along the coast. Interior access depends on parish schedules. Check service times locally and ask whether interior photography is permitted. A short pause outside helps place the architecture within the surrounding community before an interior visit. Allow time for quiet observation of details rather than moving immediately to the next stop. Comfortable walking shoes make it easier to combine the grounds with nearby public streets.
