Canawa Cold Spring

Canawa Cold Spring is a natural freshwater destination in Candijay, Bohol, Philippines. This natural spring sits within Candijay’s rural interior and is recognized as one of Bohol’s geological attractions. The basin-like pool and surrounding greenery create a compact setting for observing the island’s water-shaped landscape. Local stories contribute to its character, although claims about unknown depth should be treated as folklore rather than measured fact. The visit offers an alternative to coastal swimming stops and pairs well with other eastern Bohol countryside attractions. Visitors should let site guidance determine what water activities are appropriate. Ask attendants about permitted swimming areas and depth before entering the spring. Keep the itinerary flexible enough to follow current guidance from the people managing the site. Comfortable footwear, drinking water and consideration for other visitors make the outing easier to enjoy. Allow enough time to appreciate the setting and the details that give the destination its local character.
