Lake Danao Natural Park

Lake Danao Natural Park is a highland nature destination in Ormoc City, Leyte, Philippines. A highland lake surrounded by forest gives Ormoc a distinctive freshwater destination. The water, wooded slopes and cooler upland atmosphere create a setting for quiet observation and permitted leisure activities. Lake Danao is also part of a protected landscape, so its ecological role matters alongside its appeal to visitors. The approach from the city introduces changing terrain and a different pace from the bayfront. Travelers can plan a simple lakeside visit or confirm available boat and picnic arrangements, allowing weather and local rules to shape the day. Coordinate with park staff and confirm the operating arrangements for any boating or lakeside facilities. Allow enough time to appreciate the setting and the details that give the destination its local character. Confirm the arrival arrangements before leaving your accommodation, especially when relying on local transport. Keep the itinerary flexible enough to follow current guidance from the people managing the site.
